Raider Youth Lacrosse will be holding a fall lacrosse program to work with all skill levels for kids K-8th grades, working to improve their current skill level (wherever it may be). This is for new and experienced players. We will split into groups where necessary so that everyone is getting the right level of coaching. Both boys and girls are welcome to attend, however we will be working this program under boys' rules with boys' equipment.
WHEN: Saturdays. Sep. 7th - Oct. 26th, 10:00am - Noon (We will also be looking to participate in fall tournaments as part of this package, dates TBD)
WHERE: Lake Creek Park (End of Park Lane, past Lake Creek Pool, Round Rock, TX.)
COST: $150 (Plus $20 Equipment Rental, if necessary)
WHO: Boys and girls in K through 8th grade on Sep '19.
WHAT: We will be offering intensive training and explanation of drills for newer and more experienced players alike. Players will be placed into groups that specifically fit their abilities. Repetition of both elemental pieces and specific techniques will be highlighted during the Saturday sessions. Players will also receive training on spatial awareness and what are key components in making sure they are in the correct positions for the most success. A typical Saturday will include:
The key to the program is repetition and building upon the blocks of repetition
The program will be managed by Coach Noel Breger, the head coach for the Cedar Ridge - Stony Point High School Lacrosse Club. High school players and experienced youth Senior players will also be on hand assisting Coach Breger with the clinic.
Tournaments in fall will be targeted, however the level of participation at each age level in the program will determine our ability to enroll in the tournament at that age level. The intent is to make participation in the tournament part of the fee here, but participation will also affect that final decision. If tournaments end up not an option, we will work to put together a scrimmage or two with other programs.
